Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year not for the rain but for the beautiful colors of the autumn leaves. I was happy when I came across the Fall foliage map from smokymountains.com again this year. I make a point of going for long walks and taking pictures of the hilltops and trees around my neighborhood so I use this to plan my wanderings. The 2016 map was spot on for Upstate NY.
The map is interactive and simple to use. Drag the slider to the desired date to see when the Fall foliage is it at it’s peak for your area of interest. I also like the write-up on the science of it all.
Don’t take my word for it head over there and see for yourself.
