It’s the 4th of July and I’m recovering from my travels to the 2016 ESRI Users Conference in San Diego, California. It was my first time to the Conference and San Diego and for some reason I’m still trying to get over the time difference. My body is still on San Diego time. Thank goodness I had the weekend and today off. I went to see Independence Day Resurgence which I wanted to see before anyway but more so after Jack Dangermond mentioned that the cities in the movie were modeled with ESRI City Engine. I liked Resurgence but mainly I really liked the cities that were created in the movie. The moonscapes were actually quite cool and the scenes inside of the mother ship was impressive. I have to say that I was looking at the movie from a different perspective although I was also quite entertained. To see the software that I take for granted being used to do this type of thing is amazing.
Be sure to check out the Plenary sessions to find out more about ArcGIS, how its being used and where ESRI is taking it next.
